Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with Knock Out Productions, before you reach out.
-
Knock Out Productions provides senior executive production leadership and production services for live, hybrid, and virtual events. Depending on the engagement, we serve as Executive Producer owning the full scope of a production, Production Manager overseeing logistics and vendor coordination, Show Caller executing the live show, or Technical Director leading the technical team. We work with event agencies, production companies, and corporate brands directly.
-
Yes, and this is one of the things that makes our model distinctive. We regularly partner with agencies and production companies as a trusted production resource, stepping in when they need senior production talent that isn't available in-house or when a project requires additional experienced capacity. We integrate into your team and your client relationship seamlessly, operating at the standard your clients expect.production and equipment partners, allowing us to connect projects with the right technical teams when needed.
-
No. Knock Out Productions focuses on production leadership, management, and execution, not equipment supply. We work closely with trusted AV vendors, scenic suppliers, and technical partners across the country and can connect you with the right technical resources for your project. What we bring is the expertise to manage, coordinate, and direct those resources effectively.
-
No, and we're not trying to. We work with agencies as a production partner, not a competitor. Many of our engagements involve Knock Out Productions supporting an agency's production scope directly, as an extension of their team. For corporate brands and internal teams, we offer an alternative to hiring a full agency, but we're also happy to work alongside your existing agency partners.
-
We work on corporate conferences, general sessions, keynotes, product launches, multi-day trade shows, award ceremonies, experiential activations, hybrid broadcasts, and virtual events. We're experienced across a wide range of formats, audiences, and industries, including technology, healthcare, finance, consumer goods, and more.
-
Absolutely. This is one of the things that makes our model flexible and useful to a wide range of clients. We can own the full production scope of an entire conference or step in to lead a specific keynote room, breakout track, or program within a larger event that another team is managing. We're comfortable at both scales.
-
As early as possible. For large-scale conferences or multi-day events, we recommend connecting at least three to six months in advance. For smaller productions, a few weeks of lead time may be sufficient, depending on complexity. That said, we're also experienced at stepping into projects that are already in motion when additional production leadership is needed quickly.
-
Yes. Knock Out Productions is based in Boston, MA with a remote office in Dallas, TX, and we work with clients nationally and internationally. We have extensive experience executing events across multiple markets and are comfortable operating in venues and cities we haven't worked in before.
-
Organized, communicative, and calm. We establish clear rhythms early: who communicates what, to whom, and when. We surface problems before they become crises and handle the ones that do quietly and professionally. Our clients consistently tell us that what they value most is knowing that the production side of the show is genuinely owned, not just monitored.
-
We've outlined our full engagement process on our How We Work Together page. The short version: every engagement starts with a conversation, moves into a clear scope and alignment phase, and then follows a structured pre-production, rehearsal, on-site, and post-event closeout process. We don't leave things to chance.
