Show Calling & Technical Direction
The show caller is the person everyone in the room is listening to. Every cue, every transition, every moment that the audience experiences as seamless and inevitable, that's the show caller making it happen in real time. This is work that requires calm under pressure, absolute precision, and the kind of experience that only comes from calling a lot of shows.
WHAT IT MEANS
Show calling and technical direction are related but distinct disciplines, and we're clear about the difference.
Show calling is the real-time calling of cues during a live event, directing audio, video, lighting, graphics, teleprompter, and all technical elements to execute the show exactly as designed. It requires deep knowledge of the run-of-show, sharp instincts, and the ability to make split-second decisions without breaking stride.
Technical direction is the leadership of the technical team and technical process, from pre-production planning and technical specifications through rehearsals and live execution. The TD is responsible for the technical infrastructure of the show and the crew that operates it.
We provide both, independently or together, for live, hybrid, and virtual events of any scale.
WHAT THIS INCLUDES

WHO IT'S FOR
Production companies and agencies that need an experienced show caller or technical director for a specific event. Corporate clients running events with complex technical production needs. Any production where precision execution and a steady hand at the helm is non-negotiable.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A show caller who has done this enough times to be calm when everyone else isn't. A technical director who speaks the language of every vendor in the room and knows how to get the best out of the team. Execution that sounds effortless because the preparation behind it was not.
Most of our engagements start with a conversation. Tell us what you're working on and we'll help you figure out the best way to work together.
